Accra, Aug. 4, GNA – Ghana and Morocco have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations, with renewed focus on trade, E investment and sectoral cooperation following the Second Session of the Ghana-Morocco Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation. E HistoryThe renewed commitment was underscored at a reception in Accra to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco. Mrs Imane Ouaadil, Morocco’s Ambassador to Ghana, said the Joint Commission had provided a framework for expanding cooperation in industry, hydrocarbons, mining, energy efficiency, agriculture, customs, postal services and investment. Mrs Ouaadil said Morocco had, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, implemented wide-ranging political, economic and social reforms over the past 27 years, while pursuing regional peace, stability and economic cooperation. The reception formed part of Morocco’s annual Throne Day celebrations, which commemorate the accession of King Mohammed VI to the throne on July 30, 1999.
