Players AbroadGift Links and his side AGF Aarhus have taken the upper hand over Aden McCarthy's Sabah FK in their quest for UEFA Champions League football. On Wednesday, the two South African stars found themselves on opposing benches as Links' AGF Aarhus hosted McCarthy's Sabah. Links, meanwhile, came on in the 70th minute to shore things up at the back as AGF were already 2-1 ahead. Holding a 2-1 aggregate lead, AGF will travel to Azerbaijan for next Tuesday's second leg, where McCarthy's Sabah will have it all to do if they are to advance to the final stage of Champions League qualifying, the two-legged play-off round. The winner of the tie, however, will face either Red Star Belgrade or Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the final qualifying round for a place in the Champions League league phase.
