With these arrests, the total number of people apprehended in connection with the pan-India GST fraud cases has risen to 12, according to an official statement issued Thursday. The STF carried out coordinated raids and searches in the West Bengal capital, targeting syndicates involved in fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims. Officials confirmed that the arrests mark another step in the sustained campaign against organized GST fraud groups operating across the country. Authorities emphasized that the operations are part of a broader effort to dismantle tax evasion networks and protect the integrity of India’s financial system.
