During the review of the RD&PR Department, attended by senior officials, the Chief Minister assessed the department’s achievements in strengthening Panchayati Raj institutions, promoting rural welfare, enhancing grassroots governance and improving rural infrastructure. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive and sustainable rural development across the state. In a separate meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the functioning of the Information Technology Department with senior departmental officials. The review focused on the progress of ongoing IT projects, e-governance initiatives and digital infrastructure, while also examining key implementation challenges. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to expanding Manipur’s digital ecosystem, the Chief Minister said technology would continue to play a key role in promoting inclusive growth, improving governance and accelerating development across sectors.
