The SNP has written off the value of the motorhome disgraced former chief executive Peter Murrell bought with party funds and left in his mum’s Dunfermline driveway. During the long-running Operation Branchform police investigation which snared Murrell the motorhome became an object of scorn and ridicule. The motorhome was bought in 2020 with a party credit card used partly to pay for it. It also emerged in the accounts that Murrell is still owed £60,000 from a loan he gave the party in 2021. “The former chief executive has not formally requested repayment of the outstanding balance.
