Paula Innes, of Ruffside Village, Consett, was convicted at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court on July 28. The 49-year-old was found guilty of driving a Ford over the 30 mph limit on South Terrace, Low Jobs Hill, Crook, on August 29, 2025. Manned equipment was used to record her speed. After pleading not guilty in court on March 12, Innes was fined £460 and her driving record was endorsed with six penalty points. She was also ordered to pay £120 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, along with a £184 surcharge.
