A 65-year-old man has been placed on the sex offenders’ register after he was found guilty by majority verdict of a sexual assault.
Stephen Gray, of Walls, has been released on bail and will reappear at Lerwick Sheriff Court on 2nd September for sentencing.
DC Stewart said Gray claimed the complainer told him “we could have a bit of fun” before sitting on his face.
The trial resumed today when the jury heard closing statements from procurator fiscal Duncan MacKenzie and defence agent Tommy Allan.
And after almost two hours, a majority guilty verdict was returned.
