“Perfect”: The unlikely 1968 folk album Alice Cooper calls his favouriteThe snake-charming, chicken-beheading frontman, Alice Cooper, is an eternal enigma.
One of his favourite artists of all time happens to be the spiritual Laura Nyro.
As Cooper continues, “There are only two people I can think of that write perfect songs.
However, the sound was as assured as someone who had been writing songs on Tin Pan Alley for aeons.
“I don’t think they disliked her, beyond the fact that I stopped writing songs like the Who and started writing songs like Laura Nyro.”
