Sliema remained Malta’s most expensive locality in 2025, with apartment prices per square metre averaging 61% above the national average. The figure was 2% higher than the previous year, extending its run at the top to at least three consecutive years. Numbers released by the National Statistics Office ranked the 10 localities with the highest apartment price levels. St Julian’s was a close second, with apartment price levels 57% above the national average, followed by Pembroke (42%), Swieqi (39%), Għargħur (28%), Ta’ Xbiex (23%), Naxxar (16%), San Ġwann (14%), Balzan (13%) and Attard (12%).
