APPLICATIONS OPENED THIS week for Ukrainians who wish to apply to remain in State accommodation. The government announced last year that State accommodation for Ukrainians was set to wind up from this year. The move is likely to impact around 16,000 Ukrainians staying in state-provided accommodation, with the Department of Justice contacting thousands of Ukrainians to inform them that their arrangements would end in October. The minister stated previously that people with vulnerabilities or particular family circumstances will be able to apply to continue living in state-provided accommodation. As of 2 July, 53 accommodation contracts had come to an end, the Department of Justice said.
