KARACHI: Authorities will exhume the body of businessman Mir Raza Ali at 9:00am on August 7 as part of the ongoing probe into his death in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area. Police have formed an eight-member medical board comprising senior forensic specialists, pathologists and medico-legal experts from Dow Medical College, Sindh Medical College, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) to oversee the exhumation and conduct a fresh examination. The panel will be headed by Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahmed, Head of Pathology at Dow Medical College. Earlier, Mir Raza Ali’s father, Mir Hussain Ali, approached a Karachi court seeking permission for the exhumation and a second post-mortem, expressing concerns over the transparency of the investigation. Mir Hussain Ali said the investigation should focus on identifying those responsible for his son’s death rather than discussing financial matters.
