On Wednesday Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana revealed a contribution of $45,000 to the Gary Literacy Coalition. The funds will support the literacy coalition’s Pilot Community Reading Program, designed to help elementary and middle school students reading below grade level enhance literacy skills and build a lifelong love of reading. On July 22 an oversized check in the form of a guitar was given to the Gary Literacy Coalition at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana. The investment from Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana will enable the Gary Literacy Coalition to broaden its reach and provide additional resources to help students build reading confidence, fluency and comprehension. The massive donation from Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana will make a huge difference for students and families in Gary.
