The City of Vicksburg and Warren County will receive more than $20,000 in federal funding to support law enforcement initiatives through a U.S. Department of Justice grant program.
U.S. Rep. Bennie G. Thompson announced Tuesday that the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance awarded $261,017 through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program to support law enforcement agencies across Mississippi’s Second Congressional District.
The City of Vicksburg was awarded $20,156 through the grant program to support collaborative law enforcement efforts between the city and Warren County.
