We need to know something, for there’s an important deadline, with an FAA grant of $35,000 available, and the project approved. The cty would retrieve all but 2-.5 percent of the cost, but the grant must be used by Dec. 31, 2026. If this generator had already been installed, as it was supposed to be earlier this year, it would have kept running at least one airport system that went down in a recent outage. Also, the phone number provided by the FAA to access the Vicksburg system appears to be no longer working.
