A Buckie couple say they were left “absolutely petrified” after waking to find a shirtless stranger standing inside their hotel room at a Travelodge. Kim Hutchison, 60, and Harry Grieve, 57, were staying at the hotel while visiting relatives in Dundee when the man entered their room. Travelodge said it updated its room access security policy across its 600-plus UK hotels in March. Where room intrusion incidents are reported, hotel teams are immediately retrained on room security and check-in procedures. Travelodge also said it has commissioned an independent review of its room access security policies and incident escalation procedures, led by barrister Paul Greaney KC.
