A chef who threw a brick through a former friend’s front door says he did it because he was being chased by a man with a meat cleaver in an “extra-fast” wheelchair.
The complainer, who uses a wheelchair, later met Edwards and spoke to him through the window of his home.
Ms MacNiven told the court Edwards said: “You better give me this money or I will throw this brick through your window.”
‘Extra-fast wheelchair’ user had meat cleaverWhen cautioned and charged, Edwards replied: “I was chased with a meat cleaver by a man in a wheelchair, an extra-fast wheelchair.”
He added that when Edwards went to the wheelchair user’s home, “he did speak to him but his friend had a meat cleaver”.
