Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (MDL) strengthened its sustainability performance during FY 2025-26 by expanding renewable energy use, investing in sustainable infrastructure, improving energy efficiency, and enhancing carbon management. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Sustainability Report 2025-26 indicated total energy consumption of 6,32,12,218.44 megajoules against 5,75,03,325.10 MJ in 2024-25. Renewable energy consumption increased to 2,74,69,619.93 MJ from 1,63,99,104.23 MJ in 2024-25, reflecting progress in clean energy adoption. A major milestone during the year was the development of a 1,375-kW rooftop solar power plant under a Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam, to achieve a 50 percent renewable energy target. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders’ FY 2025-26 sustainability performance highlights measurable progress across renewable energy, emissions reduction, infrastructure modernization, and social responsibility.
