The UK public electric vehicle charging network reached 122,724 chargers by the end of July 2026, new Zapmap data reveals. Key highlights this summer include Moto Charge officially launching at Tamworth services on the M42, expanding the growing network of ultra-rapid EV chargers across UK motorways. This latest EV installation adds 12 new ultra-rapid charging bays capable of delivering up to 400kW. Together with 24 new Gridserve ultra-rapid charging bays and eight dedicated bays for electric HGVs and other extra-large electric vehicles, Moto Tamworth now offers 44 ultra-rapid charging bays.
