Back in May, Valve released several written guides entitled “Getting the most out of your Steam Controller”.
Getting the most out of your Steam Controller: Grip SenseGrip Sense is one of the hardware features on the Steam Controller that you’re simply not getting from other options on the market.
Grip Sense takes the form of two capacitive touch sensors on the back of the controller, along the “wings” / handhelds of the device.
With ratcheting, when you get to the ‘edge’ of your comfortable zone while using Gyro, you can lift your fingers up off the back of the controller, recenter the controller, and then put your fingers back on the controller,” Valve explains.
Valve believes in this technology and, to stem similar problems, the Steam Controller has many options for its gyro.
