A Central Florida defendant was convicted of crimes against a child. Immediately following the verdict, he was sentenced to mandatory life in prison for the Capital Sexual Battery convictions. “A life sentence in this case makes justice a reality for all of us,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza saidThe Volusia Sheriff’s Office investigated the case. Assistant State Attorneys Jeanne Stratis and Haley Mark successfully tried the case for the State of Florida. The Honorable Kathleen McNeilly presided over the case and pronounced sentence.
