Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appointed a new Orange County Commissioner. Republican Governor DeSantis announced the appointment of Michael Crabb to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. “Congratulations to Mike Crabb on his appointment by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve as Orange County Commissioner for District 2,” the Orange County GOP posted. Mike Crabb is currently running for District 2 Orange County Commissioner, and other candidates in the race include Kamia Brown, George Oliver III, Marsha Summersill, and former Orange County Democratic Party Chair Wes Hodge. The Orange County Democrats also responded to Governor DeSantis’ local appointment.
