Anita Rollins, one of the at-large representatives for Ames City Council, was born and raised in central Iowa. Once back in Iowa, Rollins worked at ISU as a communication specialist for IPRT, which was the Institute of Physical Research and Technology. Rollins has been a city council member for five years; next year she will be up for reelection. She served on the Discover Ames Board in her first term as a City Council member. Rollins loves being a City Council member because she continues to learn.
