Families of JAS Group Surrender in Borno

A total of 17 family members of Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) have voluntarily surrendered to troops of Operation HADIN KAI in separate incidents in Konduga, Bama Local Government Areas of Borno State.
The development followed sustained military operations across the North East, which have continued to weaken terrorist networks.
During preliminary debriefing, the group attributed its decision to Sustained operational pressure mounted by troops against terrorist enclaves.
The minor also attributed the decision to sustained military pressure on terrorist enclaves.
Operation HADIN KAI reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining offensive operations while facilitating safe, voluntary surrender of individuals willing to disengage from terrorist groups in line with extant guidelines.
