On Instagram stories, Jett’s team wrote: “Following a recent injury, Joan Jett has undergone orthopaedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae and will begin the necessary healing process.” The news follows on the heels of Joan Jett’s recent UK tour, which marked her first headline tour across the pond in 16 years. Elsewhere, Thommy Price, drummer with Joan Jett and Billy Idol, has died aged 68. Price played with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts from 1987 until 2017, with Jett paying tribute on social media.
