The Delhi Traffic Police on Tuesday created a Green Corridor to ensure the swift transfer of a liver transplant patient from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, enabling the patient to catch a flight to Hyderabad for an urgent transplant procedure. According to the Delhi Traffic Police, information about the requirement for a Green Corridor was received around 4:30 p.m. The timely transit allowed the patient to board the scheduled flight to Hyderabad, where the life-saving liver transplant surgery was planned. The patient's family thanked the Delhi Traffic Police for their prompt response and coordinated efforts, saying the Green Corridor played a crucial role in ensuring the patient reached the airport on time. A few months earlier, the Delhi Traffic Police had also created a Green Corridor during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match, helping injured Delhi Capitals cricketer Lungi Ngidi reach a hospital from Arun Jaitley Stadium in just 11 minutes.
