Detectives from the Anambra State Police Command have launched a full-scale homicide investigation following the death of three children discovered unconscious inside the residential compound of a traditional healer in Ideani, Idemili North Local Government Area. ​A fourth child, rescued alongside the deceased, remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit of a local hospital. ​The primary suspect, a female traditional medicine practitioner locally known as an Ezenwanyi, was taken into police custody at the scene. ​Upon entering the premises, residents discovered four children—estimated to be between six and 15 years old—lying unresponsive across different sections of the compound. Regrettably, three of the children were certified dead by medical doctors, while the fourth victim is currently receiving treatment, though in a critical condition.”
