Following assessment by his medical team, Mr. James was referred to CHU de Martinique, where he will undergo specialised cardiac treatment. The Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS) approved funding to cover the full cost of Mr. James’ medical treatment while The Calvin Ayre Foundation supplemented this support by covering the patient’s medical travel expenses, ensuring he could access the urgent care required without unnecessary delay. Mr. James’ daughter, Mrs. Shereen James Galloway, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the support her family received throughout the process. Patrice Jacobs, Media and Production Associate at the Calvin Ayre Foundation, said the Foundation remains committed to working alongside its healthcare partners to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent patients from accessing critical medical care. The Calvin Ayre Foundation extends its best wishes to Mr. James and his family and hopes for a successful procedure and a full recovery.
