A teenage drug driver has been banned and ordered to pay a hefty fine after admitting getting behind the wheel of an uninsured car.
Samuel Youngson, 19, pleaded guilty when he appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court yesterday (Wednesday).
Procurator fiscal Duncan MacKenzie told the court that Youngson, from Lerwick’s St Magnus Street, was stopped by police after they checked his car.
The sheriff also ordered him to pay an £800 fine.
