A deep, partial eclipse due on Wednesday is expected to be the best since 1999.
But yet another celestial event is due later in the month, with a lunar eclipse expected on 28th August.
Whereas a deep partial solar eclipse is a rare event for Shetland, a lunar eclipse, on the other hand, is more common.
“If you are planning to photograph a solar eclipse, make sure you use a good solar filter, otherwise, you could damage the camera sensor and your eyes.
