Hungarian tourists in trouble: popular travel agency specialising in beach holidays goes bankrupt

Robinson Tours, the Bulgarian-registered travel agency specialising primarily in Bulgarian holidays, has declared insolvency, with affected Hungarian travellers able to seek compensation from the company’s Bulgarian insurer, according to a letter sent to customers and reported on Wednesday by the travel industry portal Turizmus.com.
The website published the letter in full, which states that affected clients may request compensation in English from the Sofia-based Axiom Insurance Company AD at claims@axiom.bg.

Bulgaria-registered Robinson Tours has until now operated in Hungary as a cross-border travel organiser and agent.
The company changed its name from Neptun Tours Ltd to Robinson Tours Ltd in autumn 2022, according to turizmus.com.
