A driver is facing impaired driving charges after being found asleep in a vehicle at an event in Papineau-Cameron Township.
Article contentOfficers observed a vehicle stopped in a roadway within the event grounds and located the driver asleep in the driver’s seat, according to OPP.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Mattawa OPP Detachment for further testing.
In addition, the accused received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The OPP will continue conducting proactive enforcement initiatives to identify and remove impaired drivers from our roadways,” according to OPP.
