Developers now sell cemetery plots that resemble small villas, complete with air conditioning, private garages and round-the-clock security. The bill before the burialSheikh Tarek Mustafa, 63, runs a funeral-services office that washes, shrouds, transports and buries the dead. So, Mustafa has started offering his services free to those who cannot pay, and buying graves to set aside for them. The cost of plots has risen across the board, residential, administrative, commercial and the land set aside for graves alike.
