On Saturday 5th September, our INSIDERS can join a hands-on workshop exploring the art of Pet Nat (Pétillant Naturel), believed to be the oldest method of making sparkling wine there is. Numbers co-founder Hugh Thorn will walk you through the fundamentals of natural sparkling fermentation, before handing over the reins as the group crafts its own Col Fondo-style Pet Nat. Wine making is thirsty work, we hear, so there’ll be plenty of Pet Nat flowing throughout the session to keep you going, plus a selection of cheeses to nibble on. The class starts with a short history of Pet Nat and Col Fondo, followed by an in-depth introduction to fermentation.
