The results on the ice have been uneven since Scott Malkin, Jon Ledecky and Dewey Shay assumed majority ownership of the New York Islanders 10 years ago. But through all of that, one thing cannot reasonably be disputed, and that's that Islanders ownership has provided the organization with the resources necessary to win. “There’s only one priority: to win a Stanley Cup for the fans,” Ledecky told Newsday. “We will always provide the resources to allow management to put us in a position to win the Stanley Cup.” After everything Islanders fans endured, that alone represents meaningful progress.
