The Tisza parliamentary group has initiated that parliament elect the new president of the republic next Tuesday. In a document published on the parliament’s website on Wednesday, group leader Andrea Bujdosó wrote that they are initiating that the agenda of the National Assembly’s extraordinary session on 10–11 August be supplemented with the election of the president of the republic. On behalf of the Tisza group, they also proposed that the date of the presidential election be Tuesday, 11 August. Parliament must elect a new president of the republic within thirty days.
