The first part of Bucharest National Opera’s 2026-2027 season will include 18 opera and ballet productions, including two premieres, namely Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser and Adolphe Charles Adam's Giselle. "We have designed the opening of the season so that audiences can enjoy both the great classics they love and productions they rarely have the opportunity to see on the stage of the Bucharest National Opera. The season opens on October 1 and October 3 with the premiere of Wagner's Tannhäuser, conducted by Cristian Mandeal. The premiere of Adolphe Charles Adam's ballet Giselle has scheduled performances on November 13, 14 and 15. In December, the public will be able to see Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker and Eugene Onegin, Puccini's La Bohème, as well as Verdi's La traviata and Wagner's Lohengrin.
