(IN BRIEF) ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering, together with STRABAG Australia, has secured its first contract in Australia through work on Melbourne’s Suburban Rail Loop. The companies will contribute to the Suburban Rail Loop, or SRL, in Melbourne, Victoria’s largest transport infrastructure project. ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering will draw on its long-standing expertise in ground freezing to support the construction of nearly 30 cross passages using the ground freezing methodology. The companies said the contract represents the first major Australian footprint for ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering and provides a foundation for pursuing additional ground engineering opportunities in the country. Jörg Löffler, Managing Director of ZÜBLIN Spezialtiefbau GmbH, said the first contract in Australia marks an important milestone for ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering.
