The New York Times reported that TikTok laid off 250 employees at its Nashville office, according to labor documents filed with the state of Tennessee.
TikTok shut its standalone TikTok Music streaming service in November 2024, and has since cut staff from its music division on more than one occasion.
TikTok‘s Nashville expansion had drawn objections from Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, a longtime critic of the app who cited national-security concerns, the Nashville Tennessean reported.
