Construction is underway on two new development sites in the Township of Langley, BC, marking a significant step forward in the province’s efforts to expand housing for middle-income residents. This provincial program aims to accelerate housing delivery by connecting builders with ready-to-develop land and streamlining municipal permitting processes. “We’re working with municipalities to build the homes people need, and we’re doing it faster than ever.”The Township of Langley is contributing the land for both projects at no cost and has partnered with the Province, BC Housing, and the newly formed Township of Langley Housing Trust Society to bring the developments to life. “These projects reflect our commitment to affordability and livability, and show how quickly progress can happen when the right partnerships are in place.”Project DetailsThe Aldergroves site is scheduled for completion in fall 2027, bringing 128 rental homes to market. The Willoughby site is expected to open in summer 2027, delivering 118 rental homes with a rooftop amenity space.
