TDP and YSRCP continue to attract huge political donations, while BRS funding drops 82%Hyderabad: The TDP and YSRCP are among the regional parties in the country that continue to receive huge political funding via individuals and electoral bonds, whether in power or not, as per a report from the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). The Telugu Desam Party received Rs 100 crore in 2023-2024 and Rs 83 crore in the following year. YSRCP, which is currently in the opposition in Andhra Pradesh, received Rs 62 crore in 2023-2024 and Rs 140 crore in the following year. From receiving Rs 580 crore in 2023-2024, its political funding dropped to Rs 15 crore in 2024-2025. The Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS party was a recipient of huge political funding.
