The Twins are sending Joe Ryan for testing on his glute and back, manager Derek Shelton told reporters on Wednesday (link via Dan Hayes of The Athletic). Ryan served up six home runs to a usually punchless Guardians lineup in his first start of the second half. Ryan returned after an eight-day break and pitched six innings against Kansas City, allowing four runs on eight hits. Acquired from the Rays in a DFA trade in May, Gómez has provided the Twins with 32 2/3 innings of 1.93 ERA ball. They’ll also have a hefty arbitration class between Ryan, Kremer, Bailey Ober, Trevor Larnach, Royce Lewis and first-time eligible players Taj Bradley and Kody Clemens.
