Scenes from the launchThe much-awaited ‘Highlife to the World (H2TW) – The Black Star Experience 2027’ campaign to promote Ghana’s iconic sound across the globe, was officially launched at the Seasea Club in Barcelona, Spain, on August 2, 2026. The launch, which was led by Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Mrs. Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe, and the Executive Secretary of Creative Arts Agency, Gideon Aryeequaye, was graced by leading music industry personalities and other dignitaries. “The Creative Arts Agency sees the campaign as a useful forum to put talented Ghanaian creatives on international platforms, with the key goal of promoting and preserving Highlife for future generations,” said Gideon Aryeequaye. The night featured performances from Jupitar, Bessa Simons, Obrafour, Stonebwoy and the Lucky Star Band, with opening sets by DJ Logs, DJ Demo, DJ King Solo, and Nigerian guest DJ Enny. The full roadmap for H2TW 2027 will be unveiled later this year at a Highlife Festival to be hosted by Laboma Beach Resort, in Accra.
