As part of the project, GL11 Community Hub is encouraging local people to share their ideas for strengthening connections and creating more opportunities for neighbours to come together. In Cam and Dursley, Community Buddies will work at neighbourhood level to link residents with local spaces and activities, and to shape the programme around what matters most to the community. Building Connections will be delivered by GL11 Community Hub, Forest Voluntary Action Forum and All Pulling Together, working across Stonehouse, Cinderford, Mitcheldean, Cam and Dursley. Lisa Wilson, CEO at GL11 Community Hub, said: “Every day we see the impact that living in isolation has on people of all ages; this project will allow us to work alongside our local community to create people‑shaped solutions to loneliness in Cam and Dursley.” Further details on how residents can get involved are expected to be shared by GL11 and its partners in the coming weeks.
