Alliance Homes distributed the funding through its annual Communities Together Grants programme, supporting charities and organisations across the region. One recipient, Springboard Opportunity Group in Clevedon, received £7,215 to help families with young children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Ruth Glover, chief executive of Springboard, said: "This grant will make a real difference to the families we support. "It reflects the importance of communities coming together to support one another and shows how strongly our local community believes that every child and family should have the opportunity to thrive." Other projects funded include a youth wellbeing hub in Portishead, a scout hall refurbishment in Weston-super-Mare, and a community bike repair project.
