The Cumberland Council market is due to take place on King Street on Saturday, August 15, part of a new series “every third Saturday." “When we planned our summer market, the county council’s new markets hadn’t been created at that time,” he said. “The idea when we started these markets ourselves was to grow traders from occasional markets into shops and working seven days a week,” Richardson said. “A couple of days for the odd traders who would do both markets should be absolutely excellent for them, really… to be honest, the more markets the better.”
