Appearing before Carlisle’s Rickergate court, Jay Scott pleaded guilty to five offences, all relating to his use of an off-road motorbike in two residential streets in the city. The crimes he admitted were:Aggravated vehicle taking, when he took the off-road motorbike without the owner’s consent and drove it dangerously in Holywell Crescent and on Aglionby Street, Carlisle. The defendant, of John Street, Carlisle, was granted bail and told that he will be sentenced on September 9. In the meantime, said the judge, Scott will be subjected an interim driving ban. The ultimate length of the disqualification will be decided on the day of sentencing hearing, which is expected to last for 30 minutes.
