The city’s Rickergate court heard that the defendant, of Holywell Crescent, Botcherby, has continued to show a “flagrant disregard” for the court order. The order was first imposed on May 7 last year following a hearing at the same court. On one occasion, police found the defendant in a restaurant with his wife, waiting for a meal to be served. On another occasion, he was seen meeting her as she got off a bus in Lowther Street in the city centre. “I was trying to help his wife, to increase the care she clearly needs,” the victim pointed out in an impact statement.
