Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu has called for a strategic partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the National Judicial Institute (NJI) to enhance the professional capacity of police personnel through specialised legal and judicial training. The IGP reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and improving the administration of criminal justice. “The proposed training would cover key areas, including criminal justice administration, electronic evidence, cybercrime, digital forensics, human rights, prosecution advocacy, and case management,” he said. Responding, the Administrator of the National Judicial Institute welcomed the proposal and expressed the institute’s readiness to partner with the Nigeria Police Force in advancing professional development. The Nigeria Police Force said the initiative reflects its commitment to building strategic partnerships that promote professionalism and advance effective criminal justice administration across the country.
