Mr Funso Doherty, the Lagos State Governorship Candidate, National Democratic Congress, says the state government should intensify investments in people-oriented projects and community development initiatives. He stressed that projects, particularly, in education, healthcare, housing, youth empowerment and social protection should be prioritised. “Government must continue to invest in projects that touch every community and every household,” he said. “A cleaner environment, improved roads, effective drainage systems and accessible public facilities are essential for sustainable development. “Government, religious institutions, community leaders and citizens must work together to achieve sustainable development and national progress,” he added.
