Former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has lost her husband, Mr. Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun, who died in Lagos on Tuesday at the age of 62.
The Adeosun family announced his passing in a statement issued on Thursday, saying he died on August 5 after what it described as a life devoted to God, family and service.
Advertisement“Niyi was a distinguished businessman and a devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew him.
The deceased is survived by his wife, former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun; his children; and his siblings, including Mr. Adewale (Wale) Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital, as well as numerous other relatives, friends and associates.
Mrs. Adeosun served as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance from 2015 to 2018, during which she spearheaded a number of fiscal reforms under the administration of late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
